Well, here we are in June and all 4 of my little ones are done with school! I have recorded all grades and report cards, calculated credits for my high schooler, filled in the attendance sheet and have finished shopping for 90% of their curriculum for next year. I have printed out all forms for the next year and have all their course of studies done!
WOW, who would of known all that homeschooling entails, huh!
The kids are excited and anxious to start the next school year, nerds I tell you! ( I really don't mind!) I try to keep it exciting for them, (although sometimes I feel and probably look like a drill sergeant) but truth is we will be doing something a little different next year and they are looking forward to it.
Here is where the kinda comes in...... I will be homeschooling my 4 year old during the summer. With all my babies and everything else that has to be done in the home and outside of it, I have to do what works for me and my family. This way all children get to get involved in teaching her and no one will fall behind during the school year. Don't get me wrong, there will be plenty of time for outings and playtimes, and my kids all time favorite........... visiting the grandparents. I think that's our parents favorite too. (It's kind of sad that we don't visit often, but it's hard making a two hour drive on a regular basis, especially if you're driving a Suburban!!!!!)
So to all the homeschooling parents out there..... Enjoy your summer, I know that you need it and blessings on your plans for the next school year. I know that you already have been thinking about it! =)
Drop me a line and let me know what you are planning to do this summer....
